Strengthening Support Groups and Building Connected Communities
At Alike WA, we understand the importance of funding to enhance peer support initiatives and address unmet needs within the WA community. With the kind support of the Mental Health Commission, we offer two small grants programs designed to provide impactful funding for projects that improve mental health and promote social and emotional wellbeing across WA.
Our small grants model is tailored to reach grassroots groups and communities, with no direct exchange of funds between Alike WA and grant recipients. This approach reduces administrative burdens for groups and ensures that funds go directly toward achieving meaningful outcomes.
The Pay it Forward program is designed for peer support groups and projects that aim to improve mental health and social and emotional wellbeing for both group members and the wider community. This initiative provides tools to help increase group recognition and membership while enhancing mental health literacy, reducing stigma, and strengthening interventions.
The program focuses on five key outcomes:
Note: This grants program is open to Alike WA members only.
Round 1 – Applications Open June 2025
