The Lift the Lid Mental Health Walk will take place at Wireless Hill Park on Sunday 13 September 2026.

The event is an opportunity for people to come together in a relaxed community setting while helping raise awareness of mental health and supporting research.

The previously planned Mental Health Expo will no longer go ahead, so the day will now focus on the walk.

Walking and talking about mental health

The Lift the Lid Walk brings people together in a community setting and helps keep conversations about mental health visible.

For people involved in peer support, community wellbeing or local mental health initiatives, events like this can also be a reminder of the value of connection and shared community participation.

While the expo has been cancelled, the walk will still go ahead as planned.

Supporting mental health research

The event also supports fundraising for pre-teen mental health research through Lift the Lid on Mental Illness, an initiative of Australian Rotary Health.
