The group teaches lip-reading to enable the hearing-impaired people to better manage their hearing loss through the combination of their hearing aids and the ability to lip-read. The combination of both have proved to dramatically improve conversation understanding. In addition, we invite qualified people to address members of the group as well as the interested public to be brought up to date on technological improvements of hearing & listening devices at no cost to the public.
Lessons are held weekly during school terms, Wednesday morning 9.30am - 11.30am.
All of the above contributes to rebuilding confidence within our members to be able to converse in crowded situations.
