Community groups and organisations in the City of Albany can now apply for Round 2 of the City’s Community Development Funding 2026/27.

Grants of $1,000 to $5,000 are available for community-based projects and activities taking place between 1 January and 31 December 2027. Applications opened on 7 September 2026.

What can the funding support?

Projects must fit within one of the City of Albany’s funding streams:

• Vibrant, inclusive and connected neighbourhoods, including projects that increase community participation, reduce isolation and build local connections
• Strong, thriving community groups, including initiatives that build the skills of committee members and activity leaders, support membership or strengthen organisational sustainability
• Supporting the vulnerable, including projects that improve community health and wellbeing, particularly for marginalised or disadvantaged communities

For peer support groups in the Albany area, this funding may be worth exploring if you are planning an initiative that strengthens connection, builds the capacity of your group or supports community wellbeing.

Before you apply

Eligible applicants include not-for-profit incorporated community organisations based in the City of Albany or with a demonstrated principal interest in the City. Unincorporated organisations may be able to apply with the support of an eligible incorporated organisation acting as an auspice.

The city asks applicants to read the funding guidelines and discuss their proposed project with the Community Development Team before submitting an application.
