Artificial intelligence (AI) tools are becoming part of everyday work for many organisations, from helping draft content to supporting administrative tasks.

For community organisations and peer support groups considering how they might use AI, it’s also important to understand the potential legal, ethical and governance risks that come with these tools.

Not-for-profit Law, a program of Justice Connect, has published guidance to help community organisations understand some of these considerations and approach AI use responsibly. The resource was updated in August 2026.
