Help shape the future of WA’s peer support sector

Alike Speech Bubble

Expressions of interest are now open for Alike WA members to join the Alike (WA) Minds Advisory Panel (AMAP) and bring their experience, insights and perspectives to conversations about the future of WA’s peer support sector.

AMAP brings together Alike WA members representing peer support groups connected to chronic conditions, mental health, general wellbeing and other shared experiences.

The panel helps ensure the perspectives of peer support groups are reflected in Alike WA’s advocacy, services, sector development and future planning.

What does AMAP do?

AMAP creates a direct connection between Alike WA and the peer support groups we are here to support.

Panel members share sector insights, useful resources, event information and advocacy updates. They also provide feedback on emerging issues and priorities affecting peer support groups, helping Alike WA remain informed and responsive to the needs of our members and the broader sector.

Joining AMAP is an opportunity to bring your perspective to these conversations, connect with others across the sector and contribute to work that supports strong, sustainable and connected peer support groups across WA.

Who can express interest?

Expressions of interest are open to current Alike WA members who:

  • can attend a minimum of three quarterly meetings
  • are invested in strengthening the sustainability of peer support groups across WA
  • are willing to share their insights and actively contribute to discussions that inform Alike WA’s advocacy, services and sector development.

Time commitment and honorarium

AMAP meets quarterly.

Panel members participating in an unpaid capacity receive an honorarium of $37.50 per hour in recognition of their time and contribution.

Honorarium payments are not available where a panel member is attending as a paid representative of an organisation.

Express your interest

Expressions of interest open 13 August 2026.

If you’re an Alike WA member and would like to bring your experience, ideas and perspective to AMAP, we’d love to hear from you.
