Alike Speech Bubble

Local mental health and wellbeing support groups are being invited to take part in the Lift the Lid Mental Health Expo at Wireless Hill Park on Sunday 13 September 2026.

The expo will run alongside the Lift the Lid Mental Health Walk and will showcase local services, support groups and community organisations. Expressions of Interest to exhibit are open until Monday 31 August 2026.

Some of the Alike WA team will also be joining the walk on the day, but we will not have a stall at the expo. We would love to see some familiar faces!

Walking and talking about mental health

The Lift the Lid Walk is an opportunity for people to come together in a relaxed community setting while helping to raise awareness of mental health.

The walk will be accompanied by a Mental Health Expo, where local service providers, support groups and other mental health and wellbeing champions can connect with families and members of the community.

For Alike WA, events like this are also a valuable opportunity to connect with people outside formal service settings and support greater awareness of the community-based support available across Western Australia.

An opportunity for local support groups

If your support group works in mental health or wellbeing, particularly in Melville or the surrounding area, you may also be interested in taking part in the expo.

The organisers are inviting local mental health and wellbeing champions to submit an Expression of Interest to exhibit at no cost.

Shared spaces will be available for smaller groups and sole practitioners, or exhibitors can bring their own 3m x 3m gazebo, tables and chairs. Gazebos must be weighted, and powered sites will not be available.

The expo is intended to showcase local services and support, so exhibitors may also be able to share information about upcoming community programs and activities.

There will be no vendors or on-site sales.

Express your interest in exhibiting

Expressions of Interest are due by Monday 31 August 2026.

Places are limited and submitting an EOI does not guarantee participation. Organisers expect to confirm participation in early September.

For questions about exhibiting or to submit your interest, contact the Australian Rotary Health WA team at ARHWAteam@gmail.com.

Supporting mental health research

While there is no cost for organisations to exhibit, participants are invited to support fundraising through their networks for pre-teen mental health research.

Fundraising is not a requirement for taking part in the expo.

See you at Wireless Hill

Whether you’re joining the walk, visiting the expo or representing your support group, the day is an opportunity to connect with others and help keep conversations about mental health visible in our communities.

Some of the Alike WA team will be there for the walk, so keep an eye out for us and come and say hello.
